By accessing or using TheMachine ("the Service," "the Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TheMachine is an investment platform that provides tools for managing dealflow, organizing notes, recording and transcribing meetings, managing your calendar, and analyzing investment opportunities. The Service includes:

• Calendar integration for meeting management, event scheduling, and full calendar management
• AI agent with calendar tools that can create, edit, and delete calendar events on your behalf
• Automated meeting recording and transcription via Recall.ai
• Note-taking and organization tools
• AI-powered extractions and analysis
• Dealflow management and tracking
• Market landscape analysis

3. Google Calendar Integration

3.1 Authorization

By connecting your Google Calendar to TheMachine, you authorize us to read and write to your calendar events as described in our Privacy Policy. This includes the ability to create, modify, and delete events on your behalf, both through the platform interface and through our AI agent calendar tools. You can revoke this authorization at any time through your account settings or Google Account permissions.

3.2 Calendar Management

TheMachine provides full calendar management capabilities, allowing you to:

• View, create, edit, and delete calendar events directly within the platform
• Use our AI agent to manage calendar events on your behalf, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancelling events based on your instructions
• Synchronize changes bidirectionally between TheMachine and Google Calendar

You acknowledge and agree that:

• Actions taken by the AI agent on your calendar are performed on your behalf and at your direction
• You are responsible for reviewing and confirming calendar changes made through the platform or the AI agent
• TheMachine is not liable for any scheduling conflicts, missed events, or unintended modifications resulting from your use of the calendar management features or AI agent calendar tools

3.3 Meeting Recording Consent

When you enable automated meeting recording, you are responsible for:

• Ensuring you have the right to record meetings you join
• Obtaining consent from all meeting participants before recording, where required by law
• Complying with all applicable laws and regulations regarding meeting recording
• Informing meeting participants that the meeting may be recorded

You acknowledge that you, not TheMachine, are responsible for compliance with all recording consent laws and for all calendar modifications made through the platform or AI agent on your behalf.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Service in any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation.

5. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MACHINE LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
